Name:
Simon
Breed: Basset Hound
Age: 2-3 Years
Sex: Male
Description:
This
is Simon. We believe
he is between two and three years old.
Simon
has made so much progress since coming into foster care! He now knows
basic commands: sit, stay, come and speak. He is housebroken and crate
trained. He spends all day in the crate, while the family is working
and at school and has no problems.
Simon
does well walking on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is very
energetic and walking helps to let some of the excess energy out.
He
gets along very well with his foster brother basset and foster cats.
He is a great family dog. All you have to do is look his way and his
tail starts to wag. He will cuddle with anyone who is willing.
Simon
does like to counter cruise if given the opportunity, but he does not
beg when the family is eating at the table. He loves to sleep in the
bed, if allowed, but will sleep on his bed on the floor.
We
found that he's a bit camera shy. It was pretty comical trying
to get his picture, because each time his foster mom got the camera
and aimed it his way, he thought she was going to give him attention
so he would move and wiggle all over at her feet.
