Owner Relinquishing

Description:

This is Rosie, a 6.5 year old female. She likes to bark, and gets especially excited when guests come over. She loves to cuddle and loves attention from people and likes nothing better than sitting in your lap.

Rosie likes walks, but does not like to go too far because she tires easily. Rosie loves food and (typical for a basset!) she has a very good sense of smell, so keep the garbage can out of her way.

Rosie has glaucoma in both eyes, however, the right eye is worse. She has had about three surgeries on her eyes and needs drops daily. She is still visual in both eyes.

She loves people, but should not be around small children. She also does not seem to like other dogs too much. Cats seem to be fine around her.

Her current family loves her very much, but are having to give her up because she is not good around small children. Are you someone who can give this sweet girl the extra attention she needs?
