Name:
Elvis
Breed: Basset
Age: 3 Years
Sex: Male
Description:
Meet
Elvis, a three-year old male who (according to his foster mom) is one
of the nicest bassets she's ever met. He is very active, and needs
to walk and play a lot to use up his energy, so laidback adopters need
not apply. Even so, he'll be a great family dog.
Elvis
has loved everyone he has met and is very good with kids and other
dogs. However older dogs may not have the patience to deal with him
when they are tired and he is still ready to rip and tear.
He
is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, after which he will be
neutered. He does great at the vet and rides well in the car. Nothing
seems to rattle or upset him.
His
one drawback is that he marks inside the house so he has to
be watched constantly. We think this will be resolved once Elvis is
neutered, however any adopter will need to be aware of this and be
willing to work with him to assure he doesn't have any more accidents
indoors.
Elvis
will be a great dog for the right home willing to give him exercise
and work with him on his housetraining. He'll be ready for adoption
once he is neutered.
