Description:

Bernie is a two to three year old neutered male basset. He was surrendered to Michigan Basset Rescue because his previous owner did not have the time she felt to take good care of him.

When Bernie first got here he was overweight, but he is losing weight nicely on a diet and walking schedule. He still can be a bit clumsy and knock things over with his hips.

Bernie is great with other dogs, and really enjoys playing with his foster brother and sister. He has never had an accident in the house, he is kennel trained, and he knows the commands "sit", "come here", and "shake".

At night, Bernie loves nothing more than cuddling up to your side and sharing a movie before bed and a nice belly rub.
